NI Central Investment Fund for Charities hold ministerial event

29 June 2012

The Minister for Social Development, Nelson McCausland MLA, along with members of the Charities Advisory Committee attended a recent meeting of the Shareholders Forum at Parliament Buildings.

The event is held annually for existing shareholders and charities interested in investing in the Northern Ireland Investment Fund for Charities (NIIFC). The meeting included contributions from the Minister, Advisory Committee and the Fund Managers.

The NIIFC, managed by the Department for Social Development, is an investment option for charities. The Fund aims to provide trustees with an opportunity to invest all or part of their assets with the benefit of expert supervision. The fund is managed by the Department through recognised fund managers, but its investment policy is guided by a locally based Advisory Committee appointed by the Department.
