Northern Ireland’s charity regulator is set to take to the road with a series of seminars focusing on good governance and charity regulation.
In association with the Developing Governance Group, the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland is offering the free seminars at venues across Northern Ireland.
Tom McGrath, Chief Commissioner, explained: "Following the beginning of registration in December, we are delighted to be able to support the Developing Governance Group in hosting a series of seminars for charities.
"With a number of changes to charity regulation over recent years, and the interim reporting for registered charities programme launching in April, there has never been a better time to find out more about the Commission’s role and responsibilities.
"Each seminar will focus on good governance within charities, covering new regulations and providing an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and provide their views on a draft of the revised Code of Good Governance.
"We hope that people involved with all aspects of local charities, from trustees through to staff and volunteers, will take the time to join us at the seminars and gain a wider knowledge of charity regulation and good governance."
In conjunction with local support networks, the events are currently scheduled as below.
